We set sail for Carrowmore on Saturday and arrived safely. The rain was so heavy that our heads were bleeding and the bar BQ turned into a boiled dinner that evening.
Don P sailed into port in what appeared to be a yellow submarine and as the tsunami raged we set up our tents in the polytunnel and went to bed gently rocked to sleep by what sounded like a hundred drummers playing different tunes on the plastic.
The next morning to our delight the Tsunami was gone,........it had given way to a hurricane and we set off. After swimming the course twice we were convinced that aqua archery is the future and set off home aided by the strong tide behind us.
The course was great and held up well in the conditions; all the shots were well set out and challenged your judgement and again the few Carrowmore lads made us feel welcome and really tried hard in spite of the weather.
If you havn't shot there yet then go next time. It's really worth the effort
WELL DONE CARRWMORE
