IFAF Championship 2011

Hosted by IAC

A huge clap on the back for Eric and all the gang at IAC for a super weekend of shooting. You're thinking outside the box lads.....the course was a pleasure to navigate with loads and loads of fantastic shots and it all went like clockwork.
The Saturday night session was sound. Fair play to Donal and Jim from Donegal for the singing n' guitar music...Daniel O'D your fellow countyman couldn't have done better.
A big thank you to the bar-b-q chef for cooking up the gift grub - 'twas like the miracle of the loaves n' fishes... the burgers were as big as the hub caps on a Ford Cortina.
Surely a great weekend had by all, and again well done IAC. All the best n' see you soon....
Jim... (Warbow Ireland)

Just want to say a big congrats to Eric for doing a fantastic job on organising the shoot. Its was great fun and I was in such such good company during both days!
BBQ was fantastic and food was excellent! Well done lads! :)

Well done to Eric and the IAC for hosting the champs, two great courses with lots of interesting and fun shots, the whole weekend felt like a fun event rather than a championship.
The facilities were fantastic and with the hot food wagon, not to mention the free BBQ, the weekend was a great event.
A special mention to the newly formed IFAF singers led by Jim Carbin, who made Saturday night into a free campfire concert.
Well done all
Andy Vagg

A very enjoyable shoot, great bbq, great food on site. Overall a brilliant weekend. A tip for next year - everyone has to know at least one song to accompany Jim on the guitar !!!!!!!!!

To all at the Irish Archery Club
Every time I go to to a shoot in Rahin woods I come away wanting more and think to myself how can they improve on that? Well, once again I was not disappointed.
What a weekend! I arrived on Friday night to a warm welcome a well laid out base camp with lots of lights and a big covered in seated area. There was a very relaxed atmosphere around the camp { must have been the generator humming and coughing }
The courses were well laid out very good under foot with targets well spaced out and the 3d's in very natural settings. The weather was great with a few gusts of wind and the odd light shower.
The BBQ on Saturday night was excellent with superb burgers and ribs followed by a sing song around the camp fire. Jim Carbin played guitar and sang brilliantly for all of us. The event was well prepared and very well run from start to finish the craic was absolutely mighty. A weekend not to forget.
Thanks to Donal and Jim for sharing their chilli and scones with me and to Captain Sahara and Colm for a great weekend shooting .

This shoot was one to remember!
We had it all. Great weather the (BIG DUDE) kept his promise once again. The atmosphere was fantastic with plenty of surprised and happy faces throughout the shoot. Saturday night BBQ was a blast thanks to Mike for the fantastic food and the newly formed singing group THE FLETCH AND THE QUIVERS. Lead singers Donal and Barry, acoustics Jim (Top Man!) and backing singers everyone else around the fire. Songs sung from all parts of the country but the one that will stick in most peoples minds will be Barry's version of "There was an old woman who lived in a shoe", soon to be released on CD.
A big thank you to Pauline and Caroline in the Scooby Snacks for feeding us all weekend.
Thank you all for supporting our raffle in aid of Carrowmore hats of to your generosity and much appreciated.
The IAC team worked like a magic clock putting together and taking down this shoot in less than a week and thanks to Gabi and Alex for helping lay out both courses a job well done.
Thank you Don you are an inspiration - your help was invaluable.
The shoot is over but I and everyone there will remember this event for some time to come. Thank you all for supporting us and we look forward to seeing you all soon at our next shoot.
Eric / IAC.

Full credit to the team at IAC for a really well laid and organised shoot. The four-way format was a breath of fresh air, and tested everyone at all levels - better at one, poorer at another. Thank you for a very enjoyable weekend's shooting. Despite dire forecasts, we stayed mostly dry and the fire always adds a nice touch.
John Shiel, Dunbrody

Eric, thank you so much for a fantastic weekend from all the Twomeys. I think Rebecca’s summed up how special the weekend was when she said “this was so much better than Disneyland and can we please come back again next weekend”.... and that was before she even realised she had won!
Well done to you all.
Sarah Twomey, Dunbrody

Many thanks to everyone at IAC for pulling out all the stops to host another fabulous National Champs! Two brilliant days were spent out and about on lovely courses that were very enjoyable to shoot. There was great craic around the place for the whole weekend. It was nice to be able to catch-up with familiar faces from around the country, shoot with new people and indoctrinate some complete novices to the Champs experience.
Everything that you set out to do, you achieved. Well done and thanks!
