Warbow 14 x 2 IFAA Animal Round

My Fellow Archers,
One hundred thousand thank you's to all that attended our first Warbow shoot at Aghinraheen forest Co. Kilkenny last Sunday and to all that donated raffle prizes and sent texts of support and good wishes.
A special thanks to David Sinnott for his sponsorship , to John Shiel for the target bosses, to Paul Phillpot for making up the targets and helping to build the course, to Eric Kelly for the safety checking and advice and to Thomas Colclough, Mark Daly & Pat Smyth for their offers of help and ongoing encouragement and support.
A very special thanks to you Don Priestly for the huge amount of work and commitment you put into Irish Field Archery over the years. Your Fellow Archers Salute You and look forward to many more years together on the long road ahead.
We are but a small Island among the larger Nations of Europe and next year will see many of us competing and representing our Island and our people in northern Italy at the European Bowhunter Championships. Our standard of archery is getting better and better year on year and there is no doubt that IFAF archers will take their place on the rostrum beside those of the larger Nations.
To our young folk...a big well done...to the Juniors and Cubs, James Gaynor, Ben Crowe and Thomas Crowe for setting new IFAF records and to John Shiel who shot a new adult Longbow record on a cold winters day last Sunday.
At home, we look forward to a great year ahead with a full calander of shoots and events and again, the comradery and company of all our friends in the federation.
Have a good Christmas and New Year,
All the best...
Jim......Warbow Ireland
