Int. Animal Unmarked

Feb 26th 2012

My fellow Archers,
Sincere thanks to all that competed and helped out at our first warbow shoot of 2012 in Aghinraheen woods Co. Kilkenny.
We were blessed with the weather, it stayed dry all day and conditions under foot weren’t too bad either.
Congratulations to all who set new IFAF records in the International Animal Round (unmarked distance) . When building the course we focused on making the shots as interesting as possible without compromising safety, we hope you all enjoyed it.
Well done to all our young folk, to the juniors and cubs, you are a credit to your mums and dads, your clubs and the Federation. You are the future of Field Archery on the Island of Ireland so keep up the good work, for one day you may be a Irish , European or even a World champion. Try to support your local clubs, there are many fine Archers there only too willing to help and advise. We are united in sharing a common interest, the enjoyment of the sport of Field Archery, many of you travelled a long way to shoot in Kilkenny, your enthusiasm and commitment to the sport deserves to be applauded, and again, we thank you.
To all that shot for the fun of it, a big well done, we look forward to meeting up again and enjoying your friendship and great company. The enjoyment of our sport is important to all of us, for it is your sport, and we all look forward to the long road ahead United under the Banners of our Clubs and the Flag of the Irish Field Archery Federation.
Kind regards and see you all soon,
Jim Waters, President, IFAF.

Well done Jim,Paul,Sean & Natalie .
Magic day on Sunday , amazing attendance. A special thanks to the group I shot with Don B ,Konrad and Ben. The course was excellent, as usual some subtle changes on the course made you work hard for your scores.
Can't wait for the next 28 tgt round.
Thomas, Na Laoch Dall

To all at Warbow, well done and thanks for hosting such an enjoyable shoot on Sunday. It was a real treat to shoot a new course (to me) and a bit of an eye-opener in terms of the challenge of an all 2D course.
I'm very much looking forward to your next offering but in the interim I'll preparing with a mantra along the lines Irish Rail's advertising slogan: "I'm not there yet, but I'm [working on] getting there."
Lynn, Dunbrody
