IFAF Instructors

IFAF-IFAA Instructor Programme


Level 1 instructors are trained to be able to deliver the basic safety training course to an individual or group of complete beginners, teaching them about basic safety, form and equipment. Any competent archer who complies with the requirements can apply to do this course, using the online form on the IFAF website.


Level 2 Instructors are trained to take the new archers to the next level and will be trained to observe and assess an archer’s form and how to guide the archer to remedy any form issues. Any Level 1 coach can apply to do this course, using the online form on the IFAF website.


Level 3 Instructors are trained to be able to to deliver Level 1 and Level 2 Instructors’ courses as well as advance archers who wish to compete at a higher level. This course can be delivered only by an IFAA Master Instructor.


Level 4 instructors are chosen from the Level 3 instructors whom the IFAA forum deem suitable to be advanced to Level 4 status.

At each level, candidates must fulfil all of the requirements to be deemed eligible. Please read the IFAA Protocol to determine whether you meet the eligibility criteria required for the Instructor course before submitting your application.
